Funeral services for Billy Ray Atnip, 65, of Smithville were held Feb. 9 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Michael Hale officiated with burial following at Whorton Springs Cemetery. Mr. Atnip passed away Feb. 5 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was retired from the City of Smithville as a sanitation truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents Ezra and Charlie Mae Braswell Atnip; step-daughter Shannon Mai Goad; and nephew Terry Atnip. Survivors ...
